Everyone knows how intelligent dogs are. Even if they’re stuck in a sticky situation, they’ll always find a way to turn things around.

With their keen observation skills, there’s no problem that they can’t resolve. As such, it’s not unusual to find a Newfoundland seek another escape route when the main passage’s not feasible.

Move it!

The video starts with some shuffling sounds emanating from behind a sofa. After a few seconds, a dog’s furry head pops out in between the post and the couch, trying to squeeze itself through the gap.

It turns out, the head that popped out belonged to a smart Newfoundland named Sebastian. By the looks of it, Sebastian wants to go out from his current location. But, as he’s too big to fit in between the space, he decides to leave it as it is for the moment.

After temporarily abandoning his exit plan, Sebastian then focuses his attention on the metal gate. The pooch tries to make the gate budge, but as it’s locked, there’s nothing that Sebastian can do about it.

Just a little bit more and I’ll make it!

Since the gate won’t budge no matter how much he pushes on it, Sebastian’s left with no choice but return to his earlier escape route. This time, he uses all his might to get through the narrow passage he made.

Sebastian shoves the sofa, leaning his muscular body against it to make it move. And, it looks like his efforts did not go in vain this time as the couch starts to move.

Inch by inch, the Newfoundland moves the sofa aside to let him through. But, do you think Sebastian achieved his end goal? If you wish to find out, make sure to watch the video below until the last second.
